The lamps I make are of paper, either painted or unpainted, and the shape is stabilized by two golden metal rings. I make them myself on my desk and make a fold in my hand. All the lamps are unique, numbered and signed. First I paint the paper (if it needs to be painted). Then I make the transverse “foundation folds” with the space I want. The lamps usually have between 5 and 8 cm between each fold. Then I make the shaping oblique folds; I always place them differently and get inspired by the specific color play of each paper. Then I make a hole- laughs in the paper with a hollow plier, puts in the metal rings, closes the lamp and rings, makes a cardboard disk on which the screen can hang, collects a cord with a socket and puts it all together eventually.
