They say that art takes the viewer into the mind of the artist and that's certainly true, even if no one has said it before. My name is Zuzanna Simoni (b. 1994), and I create art in Poland. I paint abstract paintings with acrylic paints. I explore various techniques, enjoying the sense of autonomy and independence in my work. The realization of my own ideas and the limitless number of conclusions for my painted stories leave no room for being locked into a rigid pattern. My paintings are about beauty, colors, structures and overlapping layers. Some are subtle, with softly blurred planes where nothing is obvious. Others are full of sharp transitions, loud and intense. I love each of them, get emotional with every second one and there are a few I have never shown to anyone. Now, it's not just original paintings on canvases but also reproductions that, with great care, capture the essence of the originals, allowing the painted story to travel anywhere. It all started, as it often does, with my maternity leave, which gave me the time and space to do things for myself. My family and my paintings — both are full-time jobs. This story is filled with paint under my nails and paintings that adorn homes across Europe, but it's also full of children's cries and unwashed windows. It's a tale of authenticity, everyday life, and the feeling that painting allows one to experience something extraordinary, where the observer is remembered by the painting just as much as the painting is remembered by the observer. I've already had one exhibition, inaugurated by the opening event titled "Impression," and I've also participated in an art evening at the Cotonina Hotel & Spa. My paintings were also selected for a charity auction organized by Business Woman & Life magazine.
